A poetic prelude to Living the Bloodline,
The poem penned by Taloch is focused upon a Wytch being dragged through the streets after being condemned for curdling cream and causing a sheep to have a still born lamb....
The saddest and most tragic fact about these charges as they were real and victims of the Witchfinder General were tortured hung and burnt as a punishment for what seem such laughable and ridiculous reasons.
Despite all of the persecution experienced in this world the Wytches & Cunningfolk still exist and these days are thriving.
lyrics
The Burning Witch
I hear ya laughing as ya stare
they chopped away me nails
and they pulled out all me hair
the smiling of the witch finder
a shilling in his pocket for a job well done
Theres a burning tree waiting
in the square
the priest is there to offer up a prayer
I see me children over there
are crying for a mercy they will never hear
All the men have gathered
round
to boast the way they caught
me when their great lord found
the mole on my back was a sign of black
the devil was my father
and i never lacked
All the curses i have made
curdling the cream on a summers day
My greatest sin the still born lamb farmer of the land let he now stand
and light this fire

Beautiful Pagan Folk music, that tells beautiful stories. You won't find many that do music like this any more. I also love the Celtic and Norse themes stormfay
