Living the Bloodline follows the journey of many a Wytch & Cunningfolk, who in by gone days would travel and work from town to village following the harvest and working the land etc
They also would carry a concoction of remedies and cures to cover most sickness or ailing complaint. Tell fortunes by reading the tea leaves or cards even cast a spell for those in need.
Such characters still exist and although many are based in stagnant homes these days their magical way has not changed.
This Mix is very different to the mix that will be used on the Wytches & Cunningfolk album.
We took a more acoustic classical approach to this version which allowed us to stand back from the bass and drum and manipulate the sound around a cello recorder.
lyrics
A cross the lands
read the future in the hands
for those who asked
Amulet in silver over smoke
whispered words and the curse is broke
for those who need
When the sun goes down and the fires are stoked
We fed our horses and groomed their coats
and called the soul in spectral light
Told the stories told to us
Passed along by the keepers past
We keep it all alive
Living the blood line
Living the blood line
Build camp in the woods
after travelling day
In the night we watch the spirit play
The whistles sound through the
crisp cold night
Folk gather round to hear our songs
Drink our gin and gamble cards to find their way
Told the stories told to us
Passed along by the keepers past
We keep it all alive

Beautiful Pagan Folk music, that tells beautiful stories. You won't find many that do music like this any more. I also love the Celtic and Norse themes stormfay
